Conceptual Framework
CIEL 2025 has been designed around the theme: “Transforming Legal Strategy: Corporate Compliance and the Role of Technology in Today’s World.”
In a globalized and highly regulated world, where technological advancements set the pace for development, regulatory compliance has evolved from a legal obligation into a key competitive advantage. The integration of efficient legal strategies and international standards—such as ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria—is essential to ensure sustainable growth, facilitate access to financing, attract foreign investment, and strengthen stakeholder trust. Moreover, autonomous technologies stand out as catalysts for innovation and judicial modernization, helping reduce costs and boost productivity. A well-designed legal strategy enables organizations to maximize these opportunities while managing risks in a flexible manner, adapted to the current economic and social landscape.

Compliance Optimization
In a constantly evolving business landscape, it is essential for organizations to develop strategies that not only ensure optimal regulatory compliance but also drive innovation in business creation and growth tactics. That is why, in this edition of CIEL 2025, we will explore and analyze how to design legal strategies that foster and strengthen a culture of efficient compliance, taking into account the crucial role of international standards—with a particular focus on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria..
We will also delve into how technology has become a key tool in the creation and implementation of innovative legal strategies. These technological tools not only facilitate compliance with national regulations, but also promote the adoption of international best practices, enabling companies to grow and develop sustainably while fully complying with regulatory frameworks.
Autonomous E-Technologies – Legal and Economic Strategies for the Dominican Republic and the Region
Industries around the world are being rapidly transformed by robotics and artificial intelligence (AI). Today, robots are capable of performing both simple and complex tasks—prompting us to question whether they should be granted legal personhood, as they are reshaping value chains and transforming core economic activities.
In this context, to help companies and professionals address the challenges and opportunities presented by these autonomous technologies, CIEL 2025 will explore innovative and relevant legal and economic aspects for the region. The discussion will consider the existing legal framework, successful structures implemented internationally, and the opportunities that these self-intelligent systems present across key sectors of the local economy.
Augmented Reality (AR) in in the legal and business environment
Augmented Reality (AR) is emerging as a powerful tool with real-world applications in both legal and business environments. In the justice system, it helps visualize evidence more clearly and reduces ambiguity in legal processes. In the business world, AR improves resource use, boosts efficiency, and encourages innovation. This conference will explore how AR can support the rule of law, drive economic growth, and attract both local and international investment
